5. Governance and Transparency
The Hazara Fund will be managed by a dedicated committee under the HCGB, with oversight from an independent advisory board. All funded projects will be subject to rigorous evaluation, and annual impact reports will be published to ensure transparency and accountability.
6. Advancing Technical Knowledge and Technology Access in Afghanistan
In addition to its UK-based initiatives, the Hazara Fund is committed to supporting the development of technical knowledge and digital empowerment among Hazara communities in Afghanistan. In a country where access to modern education and technology remains limited—especially for marginalized groups—the Hazara Fund aims to bridge the digital divide and foster innovation through targeted investments in STEM education, digital literacy, and tech entrepreneurship.
a. Digital Literacy and Access
The Fund will support the establishment of community tech hubs and digital learning centers in Hazara-majority regions. These centers will provide access to computers, internet connectivity, and basic digital skills training for youth, women, and underserved populations. By equipping individuals with essential digital tools, the Fund aims to unlock new opportunities in education, employment, and civic participation.
b. STEM Education and Vocational Training
Recognizing the transformative power of science and technology, the Hazara Fund will invest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education programs. This includes scholarships for students pursuing technical degrees, coding bootcamps, and vocational training in fields such as IT, renewable energy, and telecommunications. These programs will be designed in collaboration with local educators and international partners to ensure relevance and sustainability.
c. Innovation and Entrepreneurship
To nurture a culture of innovation, the Fund will support Hazara-led startups and social enterprises focused on technology and community development. Seed funding, mentorship, and incubation support will be provided to young entrepreneurs, particularly women and those from rural areas. By fostering local solutions to local challenges, the Fund aims to create a ripple effect of empowerment and economic resilience.
d. Partnerships for Impact
The Hazara Fund will actively seek partnerships with universities, NGOs, and tech companies to deliver high-impact programs. These collaborations will help scale initiatives, share best practices, and ensure that Hazara communities are not left behind in the global digital transformation.
7. Call to Action
The Hazara Fund is more than a financial resource—it is a movement for justice, dignity, and opportunity. We invite individuals, institutions, and allies to join us in building a future where Hazara communities can thrive. Whether through donations, partnerships, or advocacy, your support can help turn resilience into lasting change.
