Four Years of Taliban Occupation: Hazara Persecution, Gender Apartheid, and Diaspora Advocacy

🎥 Event Recording Now Available: "Four Years of Taliban Occupation – Hazara Persecution, Gender Apartheid, and Diaspora Advocacy"

On 20 August 2025, the Hazara Council of Great Britain (HCGB) hosted a powerful virtual event marking four years since the Taliban's return to power in Afghanistan. The event brought together activists, academics, and community leaders to spotlight:

  • The ongoing persecution of Hazaras under Taliban rule.

  • The systemic gender apartheid affecting Afghan women and girls.

  • The role of the Hazara diaspora in advocacy, awareness, and policy engagement.

Speakers shared firsthand accounts, legal perspectives, and strategic approaches to international advocacy. The event also highlighted efforts by the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Hazaras (APPG) and the HCGB’s August 2025 report documenting human rights abuses.

Please share widely to raise awareness and support the Hazara community’s struggle for justice and dignity.
